Today is my first blog. I think this is a great concept because it helps me jot down all my thoughts, as I go through every day of my life.
Today is the first Saturday that I feel a little more relaxed. For the past few months, my schedule has been hectic, from real estate to Fannie Mae work, and out of town trips... Even though I don't have anything planned today, I still have a lot of house cleaning and filing to do.
I took Thuy and Huan swimming at the Yorktown pool. Thuy came to help play with Huan. Ly and I feel very lucky to have Bao & Thuy to help take care of Huan. Thuy is turning to be a very nice young man. He's still very skinny, but taller, and more mature. I look forward to seeing him grow up and defining his future.
Thuy did very well in getting Huan engaged in the water. I suggested that he race with Huan, and asked Huan to not touch his feet on the ground. Huan complied well doing that with short laps. Thuy and Huan also took turns throwing the rings into the water and diving down to retrieve them. That is a great RDI activity! I noticed Huan consistently turning around to see when Thuy dives so he could join in.
Huan seemed to be more aware of other people, and not by himself as he used to. When Thuy went to the bathroom, Huan was just standing in the corner of the pool waiting for Thuy. I gestured for him to go to the middle section. He complied but left the floater behind. He turned around and looked at it. I gestured for him to go get it, but as he arrived, another kid took it. Huan just laughed. I've also wondered what his laugh meant. I deducted that it must be a nervous laugh.
I thought it was a good day for Huan.
